Yes, it is a conversation starter.
Many years ago, a co worker from my department went to Disneyworld, and sent us a postcard. That postcard we got was of the Fab 5 or 6, and he had put one of our names by each of the characters. I think you can guess which one had my name on it. That same year when my birthday came around, I was inundated with Minnie Mouse things and by Christmas my desk at work was covered. It was a blur of Red with white polka dots.
I have always had an unusual ability to remember Disney trivia anyway. So it was a good fit.
Mix that with an unusual interest in biographies of movie stars. I don't know that I necessarily loved Joan Crawford more, but I do enjoy her heyday, and the movie they made based on her adopted daughters book really held my interest.
